Iran into WWIII

As most of you know things look pretty dicey when it comes to Iran.  For me saying I’m worried is an understatement.

Last night I posted the following status on my Facebook wall asking for my families opinion about the tensions in Iran:

“Are we in trouble?  Dad, what do you think?  Noelle I want your opinion as well. I’m pretty worried myself.”

Keep in mind that my father is a retired Army Officer and that my sister is a former Congressional staffer so their expert opinions matter to me.

I have yet to hear back from them, but I beleive we are on the brink of World War Three.  As my father used to say “The most dangerous person in a fight is the guy who’s scared.  That guy is likely to do anything to win.”

Iran is like a viscous dog who’s been backed into a corner.  If we keep poking it with a stick it’s only  matter of time before it lashes out at us.

During WWII Japan attacked us first.  Although they were the aggressors they had their reasons.  We cut off their oil supply and ultimately provoked the attack via our foreign policy.

I fear WWIII will begin under similar circumstances.  In response to the West’s saber rattling Iran is threatening to block the Strait of Hormuz.  If they were to do so it would cut off one fifth of the worlds oil supply.  Combine this with the fact that Iran could nuke Israel if they were to weaponize uranium and we have a perfect storm leading up to an international conflict on a scale the world has never seen.

The video posted below puts it all into perpective.

If anyone out there has any information about current tensions with Iran please do not hesitate to leave a comment and let me know.
